Ashton Memorial

The Ashton Memorial is one of the most iconic buildings in Lancaster. It was commissioned by Lord Ashton, a Lancastrian industrialist, as a tribute to his late wife. Designed by John Belcher, the memorial was completed in 1909 and to this day dominates the Lancaster skyline. Built with beautiful materials, craftsmanship and design, the memorial houses art, sculpture and unrivalled views of the bay, countryside and mountains.
